Community Guidelines
Last updated: June 23, 2026
Off The Rack is where influencers give clothing away to grow their brand and where shoppers find pieces they'll love. It only works when it stays kind, honest, and safe. These Community Guidelines explain what we celebrate, what isn't allowed, and how we enforce the rules. They apply to everything you post — listings, photos, videos, profiles, and especially comments.
What we celebrate
- Genuine giveaways and honest descriptions of the items you share.
- Supportive, encouraging comments — hype each other up.
- Respect for influencers, shoppers, and the wider community.
What's not allowed
We remove content and may suspend accounts for any of the following:
- Harassment & bullying — targeting, demeaning, or piling on another person.
- Hate speech — attacks based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, disease, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, or immigration status.
- Sexual content & child safety — sexually explicit material, and a zero-tolerance policy for any content that sexualizes minors. See our Child Safety Standards.
- Violence & threats — threats of harm, incitement, or glorification of violence.
- Self-harm & dangerous acts — promoting self-harm, suicide, eating disorders, or dangerous challenges.
- Spam & scams — deceptive offers, phishing, repetitive begging, or off-platform payment schemes.
- Illegal & counterfeit goods — counterfeits, stolen items, weapons, drugs, or anything illegal to sell.
- Impersonation — pretending to be another person, brand, or Off The Rack itself.
Comment conduct
Comments on giveaways are public. Be respectful even when you don't win or don't like an item. Don't harass influencers or other shoppers, don't spam the same message, and don't post anything from the "not allowed" list above. Comments that break these rules can be removed and repeat offenders can lose access to commenting.
How we enforce
- Anyone can report a comment or listing from inside the app. You can't report your own.
- A single report never takes anything down — otherwise one person could knock a rival's listings offline. Content is hidden for review only once several different people report it independently.
- Our moderators review reports and either restore the content or remove it. Every decision is recorded against the moderator who made it.
- If a listing is removed but the item itself is fine, orders already paid for are still honoured — the seller ships and the buyer receives it. We only cancel a paid order when an item shouldn't reach anyone at all, and we contact the buyer directly when that happens.
- Editing a listing after it has been reviewed puts it back in the normal reporting pool, so a cleared listing can't be swapped for something else.
- Severe or repeated violations can lead to content removal and account suspension.
How to report
In the app, press and hold a comment (or tap the report option on a listing) and choose a reason. If you believe we got a decision wrong, contact us through Support.
